High-quality care is cost-efficient care. But Phoenix Children’s is doing even more to drive costs down. In a nationwide study of children’s hospitals, Phoenix Children’s operating cost per adjusted patient day was 16 percent lower than the national average, placing the Hospital in the lowest quartile for overall cost of care nationally. This is especially impressive given that Phoenix Children’s maintains the highest quality outcomes while treating the most seriously ill patients.
The growth of Phoenix Children’s adds high-quality jobs to the Valley. New physicians, researchers, nurses and leaders come from out of state to join this growing enterprise and support the Valley’s services and amenities.
Growth also means a steady stream of new construction jobs, located throughout the Valley.
