PHOENIX CHILDREN’S CONTINUES TO RAPIDLY EVOLVE ITS MEDICAL IMAGING CAPABILITIES TOWARD AN INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP ROLE IN PEDIATRIC RADIOLOGY AND ITS SUBSPECIALTIES, INCLUDING INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY AND NEURORADIOLOGY. 

Phoenix Children’s Division of Pediatric Imaging is the only imaging center in the Southwest exclusively for pediatric patients. Providers have the training, resources, and expertise required for safer, faster and more accurate diagnostic results for childhood diseases and anomalies.

An early adopter of Image Gently, the worldwide initiative to expose children to the lowest effective radiation dose needed for imaging, Phoenix Children’s is involved in another game-changer: the 3-D innovation laboratory, among the first in children’s hospitals to marry 3-D printing and advanced post-processing technologies to create accurate models of defective hearts, orthopedic fractures, injured internal organs, and even tumors.

As a Philips Healthcare National Reference Site, the department enhances both research and clinical areas by providing early access to new technologies like the highly sensitive 3 Tesla bio-molecular imaging system to detect brain tumors and low-dose iterative model reconstruction that gathers virtually noise-free images.
